Jonie is amazing, helpful and kind. Ask her about Paws 4 the Cause (: really awesome lady.
I have a 17.5 year old cat with long fur. He is not able to groom himself as well as when he was younger. I was in town for the weekend and called on the spur of the moment to see if they could shave his tummy and tail (which would make things easier for him.) They responded quickly, found a time slot for him and did a fantastic job! The price was extremely reasonable. VERY happy customer & cat!
Wow, I have never been to a grooming salon where nearly every employee has criminal charges, even the owner. The alleged illegal drug use does explain how the groomers manage to groom so many dogs, illegal uppers are quite the motivator. High quality groomers with 10 plus years of experience can safely groom 6 to 8 dogs (and 8 is pushing it). Apparently this does lead to cuts, even cutting off the entire bottom of a dogs ear. My acquaintance there says that super glue fixes most things so they're not so noticeable.(except that ear-no hiding that)
Took my dog here for 9 yrs and he was doin great w the owner grooming him and then he got handed off to another groomer that I was not told about intell later and then he started being very scared everytime I took him in there he even started biting the groomer that he got passed off on he would shake and cry every time I went to leave him there his hair looked horrible he never looked like a pom when the owner stoped groomering him and it was messed up very uneven hair cut I stoped taking him there we've started seeing another groomer at brass poodle and at first he had to take a sedative because the idea of being groomed again was very up setting to him but now he's doin great again and being a 13 yr ol dog it's very important that he fells safe
I will personally never bring any of my dogs there now that I've done some research and I implore you to do background checks before leaving your beloved animal with anyone with assault or felony drug convictions.
I asked to see the boarding area, and was told that wasn't possible. Later asked an employee, and she said it's because it's an unventilated Concrete room that stays perpetually damp and is not healthy for dogs to stay in for any length of time. Unfortunately, I know people that have worked with the two main groomers there, and am sorry to say that instead of using humane approved restraints to groom safely and gently, they'd rather go the physical route and shove and smack them back onto the table.
I’m looking through the comments and I’m thinking why are you people so mad I understand that your dog has a rash or something but it wasn’t their fault your dog obviously had it before it was groomed nothing at the groom closet can do damage to a dog this is a family business and the people here know what they’re doing.
I feel obligated to post this since one of their groomers got laid off for a bit to get sober. Not fired, just off for a week and then they can get right back at it.
The easiest way to witnes this yourself is to ask to watch your dog get groomed. Then wait for the excuses about why you can't. Oh, our insurance doesn't cover it! Or your dog won't behave as well if you're here. Really? I've had multiple professional groomers in other states that have no problem with me watching and they did a wonderful gentle job.
