Repairs were completed in far less time than was expected, the cost was significant;y less than what was expected. All service members were professional and courteous.
Took my truck in to have the rear brakes and front wheel bearings changed. They informed me that my rear drum could not be resurfaced so they only replaced the shoes. The service was good, however since they replaced the shoes, I was having a real bad brake shimmy when stopping. Thought this was just because I needed to put on new drums. When trying to remove the old drums to put new ones on, I discovered the technician had improperly adjusted the new shoes. They shoes were adjusted so they were constantly applying pressure to the drums as if the emergency brake was applied. No, my emergency brake was not applied. Not confident in their technicians. I do not recommend taking your vehicle to them.
Firestone Enid left me overall satisfied with my service. They kept me informed and compared to any other chain automotive repair/service store they had the best price. Despite spending over $1,000 on a vehicle I still walked out with a smile on my face because the service was good and the quality seems legitimate. The only reason they missed out on a star was because in the rush to finish my vehicle they left the engine splash cover off by mistake and didn't add enough coolant to get it up to the "normal" level. Still, neither of those two things affected my vehicle mechanically and mistakes do happen. I'd gladly take my vehicle back if I have any more issues.
Our alternator died as we came into Enid, OK right around 6pm. I called to see if I could get it towed here and drop it off, and even though they had already closed (at 6) the service manager answered the phone and let me know they didn't have a key drop, but he could take it the next morning. I stopped in at 7am when they opened, and they had us back up and running by 10. Service manager was very straightforward and quick to let me know what was going on - I couldn't believe they had it done in just 3 hrs.
Not a friendly staff nor helpful. The single handicap spot the lot has was used by noon handicaped. And instead of moving an elderly disabled woman car for her they told her to park behind the building and walk around. When the manager was informed he said it basically wasn't his problem. And I could almost bet if it were kids sitting in the lot at close he would at least tell them to move if not call the police for loitering after hours. But since this town is so political if you know some one you can do anything with nothing happening except a smart mouth friend covering you even if it is against the city laws.
