The goldfish and koi at this store are in horrible condition and the employees at the fish counter are often rude. We gave this store three chances and four fish died. We only wanted to add a new fish to our already established 400 gallon outdoor pond.
I've been to many PetSmarts but above all, I was disgusted by this one. My customer service was not horrible, they were friendly but the way they do business is appalling. First off, the fish are in a very, very poor condition. I tried calling cooperate but no one does anything and no one cares. Managers will argue with you. This place honestly needs to be shut down. I will never return to a PetSmart again. If you're in Enid, I'd suggest their competitor, PetSense!
I love this petsmart. The employees go above and beyond to meet my and my fur babies needs.
I am writing this review number one because of the appalling state of the fish at this store, and number two because of the rude customer service experience on our final visit. If you have any interest in starting or adding to your goldfish pond, I advise you remove this store from your shopping list.
The first purchase was two small comet goldfish, one of which did not even survive the twenty minute ride home in the bag and the second died the first night in the quarantine tank. Second a small koi was exchanged to replace the two comets. This fish was the healthiest in the tank, but that was not saying much for this bunch. His head was easily twice the size of his body width and appeared more as a swimming skeleton that quickly wasted away after refusing to eat a variety of foods. Finally, the third exchange for a shebunkin was probably the most aggravating (note this fish had one disfigured eye, but again he was the healthiest in the tank...). We had mentioned to the employee at the fish counter the poor state of the goldfish in this store and how three previous fish had died. As expected we were asked the usual question of our tanks parameters. We stated the fish had all died in a ten gallon quarantine tank and before we could explain more she immediately proceeded to tell us it was our fault the fish had died because a ten gallon tank was too small for a goldfish. And while I agree a ten gallon tank is too small for a goldfish to live in, seven days alone in one to make sure the fish is healthy is not a death sentence. Even after informing her that the fish would be moved to a much larger home at the end of its quarantine she still insisted that we were killing the fish. We tried to calmly explain our setup again and why the fish would not be adversely affected, but she just told us we were wrong and asked if we wanted the fish with a scowl on her face. In conclusion, the shebunkin died as well and we ended up going to another store with healthier looking fish which I'm happy to say spent their days in quarantine happily before being released.
A gentleman rescued 30 Beta fish fully alive out of petsmarts dumpster today. They were in their water cups waiting to die. This disgusts me...
Will never take my dog back here ever again he came out disoriented limping hurting i have no idea how they hurt him i even called there corporate office. And no one cares to get to the bottom if why or what happened. So i found new groomer and i will never go back to pet smart for ANYTHING.
