8-31-2012 Still waiting on parts and a full rebuild. I am trying to be patient. I lost the riding season before i got the bike back. It is a year later and the bike is still running well. The motor is noisy but maybe that is normal for a vstar... I think the overhaul was successful, but never received the parts list as promised after several reminders.
The sales dept on this particular day was the worst I have ever seen... Went into BUY a older sport bike that I found it online that I was wanting. Went to go take look before I made any decisions to take it home...They ligitamentally was gonna sell me this 1100 sport bike with tires that were over ten years old...When the gauge reads 200mph on a motorcycle...Im sure this is super unsafe..An this bike was sitting right as you walk in the door on the show room floor! Asked the salesman to go ahead an take off 300 for the new rubber it desperately needed. That would buy new ones for it myself... an his response was price is firm and if I put tires on it the price will go up....So I said...You guys are ok with letting a bike like this go with outdated/woreout tires??? And maybe you should have put new rubber on this bike before you priced it and set on your showroom floor...Salesman just walked off and didn't tend to my presence the rest of my visit looking at other bikes that was going to be safe enough to drive out of there....All well....They lost that sale...Better off going else where folks....This place was a waste of my time...

The bike was equipped as advertised and included a helmet, gloves and sunglasses off of their shelves. When I had an issue with a shifter mechanism failing shortly after I got it home, they mailed one to me ASAP. The prior owner installed the oil filter backwards and this resulted in engine damage that they are currently investigating (8-8-2012). The jury is out on their response to not catching this before selling it to me.
