I stayed at this hotel for a week due to work. Upon arrival the receptionist was alittle rude and she made you feel rushed during check-in. The rooms are completely out of date (unfinished plated walls, dingy carpets, no sprinkler system, out dated electrical). The room had a dungeon type feel; due to inadequate lighting. The tub/shower had dried buggers on the wall and mold on the grauting. Secondly, during my stay, I noticed several roaches (alive and dead) in my room and some were coming out the microwave unit: while i was preparing some popcorn. Various items in the room were broken (iron board & iron, coffee maker, alarm clock, and shower curtain rod, and toliet seat cover). The area around the hotel will give you an unsettling feel as the security level is slim to none.
I worked here for awhile I loved the environment and job until The management changed. They fired everyone including people who had been employed 10+ years and moved into the hotel and chose to staff themselves instead of people that can actually do the job. They don't speak good English and don't answer the phone and if they do are incredibly rude. I mainly quit because they were refusing to treat bed bug rooms and clean properly. I care about people that's why I'm in the hotel business, it's sad to see that they don't care about anyone unless it's family or an Asian super star that's in town visiting their church. Piece of advice unless you want bed bugs to go home with you don't stay here!
Seen a sign behind the desk that said no refunds after check in so I requested to inspect the room. Manager had a fit because I pulled the covers back and I lifted up the mattress and boxsprings all while he is saying I have no bugs here why you inspect my room like this....I had to request he take a step back and to lower his voice before it got out of hand. Horrible customer service and though I didn't find and bedbugs (only thing I cared about) I did find plenty of other dead bugs and filth under the beds. Oh and the headboard fell off the wall and onto me when I leaned against it. Will NEVER stay again nor recommend this place due to his actions and fit throwing all because I wanted to inspect before I bought since I wouldn't get a refund if I checked in first.
Roaches crawling around room. Open drawer dozen scatter about. Trash behind furniture. Old candy in air vents. Carpet looks nasty. Smoke detector broken off wall. It's just an over priced 1 star motel with a roach problem.
Owner Husband walks around and if you did not close curtains he stands there I guess holding to see something. There are LARGE Cockroaches, Bed Bugs GALORE, Makes you clean own room if stay more then one night, Rooms are DIRTY from start. VERY POOR customer service, If I could give them a -5 star I would and even that would be to good of one for them.
I have to add the price was adequate (36.00 a night/294 a week). The hotel does offer free wifi, a breakfast bar, cable television, and daily housekeeping service. Plus, it is convenient to Hwy 81 and many shopping destinations.
